Problematic Problem

Look at your life and don't you see problems?

What's a life without problems? Some big, some small; some simple, some perpetually complex. They either make you, or break you.

Sometimes you just feel too stressed with all these problems, don't you? You feel, empty, and forsaken. Somehow, the faith in God got stripped off you.

In this, remember, God will never throw you a problem too big for you to handle.

Look around you, and count your problems, for your problems do not show how problematic you are; rather, it defines you, it shows how (potentially) capable you are as a person. So if you are ever put down by problems, well, look at it and tell yourself:

And in my weakness Christ be seen,
His Love inside of me,
To life for Christ, the one who died for me.

Don't just count your blessings, but take some time to count your problems as well.

My Future Decided

"And mt God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus..."

-Philippians 4:19
Sometimes we just feel held back by or rational self. Some forces within your head telling you, don't be crazy.

Just remember that if its your calling, there would be sufficient reason for you to do it. Sufficient support, sufficient feeling, sufficient means for you to do it. If it truly is your calling, then the road will be provided for, someway, somehow.

Jesus, Savior, in my life You are everything
My future decided, I will praise Your name
And I know that I am, that I am Yours

How Good Can You Be?

Why does a loving God allow suffering?

Its a question that bugs many believers and non-believers alike. If God was all-powerful, meaning he had the power to do everything, and if God was good, meaning he would do good, and if God was a caring God, how then does this equation fit?

I read the book 'the Case for Faith' by Lee Stroble. I'll highlights some points that were covered in this chapter.

In an interview in the book, an analogy was used. Say a bear got trapped in a bear cage set up by a conservationist, and he now had sedated the bear and was getting it out of the cage. Say the bear was in a half conscious state and saw the man trying to get it out. It would assume that the hunter was trying to do something bad to it. Even more so, if the man had to push the bear further into the cage in order to release the catch.

Parallel this example. If your little sister was trying to tread a needle. She might hurt herself in the process by pricking herself, and it could be so simple for you to step up and help. But if you stepped back for a moment and allow her to succeed by herself, she would learn so much more through her sense of achievement.

The second point is that evil and suffering, all things bad, are qualifiers for good. How can one say something is good unless there is something bad to compare it to. Suffering and hurt were placed into this world for us to be able to see what good really is.

In fact, if everything in the world was good, you would not really be happy. If everything in this world was just simply good, then you would really lose your taste for good. You will never be able to appreciate the good simply because there is no opportunity cost; there is no bad for you to compare the good to.

"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison and test you, and you will suffer... Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life...'

- Revelations 2 : 10

Everything

God in my living
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping

Sometimes we all get the feeling that we cannot seem to find God. Dry spells spiritually, you pray and never seem to find God. Some sort of unfortunate thing happens and we just feel that God has left us to fend for ourselves.

Sometimes we spend too long looking all around us for God, you go to church expecting to find God there, you go to conferences, worship, looking for some signs of God. We sometimes look every where, other than the place closest to our hearts.

... The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is, ' because the kingdom of God is within you...

The hope of glory
You're my Everything

Hi everyone.

I'm Ernest, a 17 year old student in Singapore. I don't have the most inspiring life on earth, neither do I have the greatest of wisdom. But I feel a strong calling from God in my life; so many ideas flowing, so much to share with everyone.

Some of you out there might have, questions, doubt, uncertainty, weariness, fear, confusion, skepticism, hate, anger, but most importantly, some of you might not know God; my God, Jehovah-Jireh, The Alpha and the Omega, the Great I Am, Yaweh, Jesus.

I guess I can't guarantee that what I say is 100% theologically sound. All post here are just simple thoughts that might just change the way you look at life itself.

God Bless You
